There’s a green time bomb tucked in back of the dunes and around the edges of cranberry bogs and yards on Cape Cod — and some scientists say it threatens to get more explosive.
Poison ivy, which is so common it might as well be the official plant of Barnstable County, responded to increased levels of carbon dioxide in an environmental experiment by becoming more lush and more noxious.
